Born in 1829, chosen Speaker in the Illinois Legislature in i860, was a member of the war commission at Cairo in 1862 and a member of Congress from 1865 to 1871. As chairman of the Illinois delegation at the Republican convention he placed General Grant in nomination in 1872 and General Logan in 1884; and from 1883 to 1894 was U. S. Senator.

Dopamine Acetyltransferase
