(Mech.) A combination for converting the reciprocating motion of the beam of the steam-engine into the circular motion of the fly-wheel. The sun-wheel is on the axle of the fly-wheel, the planet-wheel on the connecting rod, the teeth of the former working with those of the latter ; and their centres are connected by a link to prevent displacement.
