An American writer; born in Maine in 1855. Besides a collection of verse, entitled "In the Morning", he has written a large number of works for young people, among which are: "The Red Mountain of Alaska"; "Pine Cones" (1885); "Silver Rags" (1886); "Kelp" (1888); "The Mammoth Hunters".
